Dimensions: Height up to 25 m, diameter up to 150 mm.
Properties: Guadua angustifolia is very suitable for constructive applications, especially because of its length (up to 25 m), straight stem and good machinability. This species also has less tendency to split. Guadua angustifolia can be easily recognized by the green culm, the white rings at the nodes and the thorny side branches.
The fibrous structure of Guadua is intertwined, making this species more resistant to shearing forces than other bamboo species.
It is considered to be the 3rd largest and the strongest bamboo in the world.
